“Jive with Senan” Classes are now all over for the summer months. What a great winter of dancing for the beginners and last years improvers. I will be posting dances that we are going to over the summer, on our WhatsApp page. This is where people move across from the classes into actual dances to live music. You don't have to do them all, but try to do one or two of them to boost the self confidence while in the company of other class members. Thanks so much for coming to the classes all winter and will be starting back the end Sept, start October.  Take care, Senan.

About Jive With Senan

Hi, my name is Senan Murphy, from Kilrush in Co. Clare. I run a beginner Jiving & Social dance class for people that have struggled to learn in the past. I cover the basic forms of the dance, like people do at a wedding or a local dance.

In each class, the first weeks are for learning the individual parts of that dance and slowly putting them together to form the complete dance. As we dance to slower music at the early stage of learning, it gives the student more time to work on the foot work. After Christmas, it is all dancing every night, building confidence, familiarity, speed and fitness, from dancing with the other class members.

Because it is a slow moving class, it is easier to keep up. Also if you miss a night or two, it is no bother to catch up, or go to one of the other class nights instead. It is all designed for the beginner to succeed.

All in all, it’s a busy winter’s dancing.  Let’s get going!!!!
